  • The Beginning

    Joseph Abadi and his wife, Simha, started their business in 1949, near Mahne’ Yehuda market in Jerusalem. At first, they would walk around with trey’s. Later on, Joseph purchased bicycles, that back in those days was like a large truck for Joseph. afterward, the cookies were sold in a permanent stand that was placed in the market.

  • Making Abadi in Jerusalem

  • In 1962

    In 1962 a collaboration started between the Abadi family and “Angle bakery” in Giv’at Shaul neighborhood. For the first time, the Abadi family was enjoying a larger and spacious place. That Basic form of the bakery developed into the one we know nowadays.

  • In 1976

    In 1976, the family business moved in Atarot neighborhood as the bakery’s manufacturing became more advanced. Thanks to the oldest son, Yoram Abadi, and his initiative-the business was expended overseas. Today, Abadi cookies are being sold in about 10 countries, amongst France, England and the United States.

  • In 2011, Joseph Abadi

    In 2011. Joseph Abadi, who was also considered for years as “the king of eastern cookies”, died at the age of 83. He left behind three kids, ten grandchildrens and five great-grandsons. His son, Yoram, continues his father’s business and morality: “An old-school man, a moral man, who gave his all at all times. A rare kind this days.”
